Fulton County to hold open house for 3 TSPLOST projects in South Fulton
The Transportation Division of Fulton County’s Public Works Department will hold an open house meeting Dec. 14, 2017, to discuss three intersection improvement projects in the City of South Fulton.
The three intersections are Butner Road at Union Road, Old Fairburn Road at Union Road, and Campbellton-Fairburn Road at Jones Road; all three improvement projects are being funded through Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST).
The meeting is scheduled to take place at the South Fulton Arts Center located at 4645 Butner Rd. in College Park, Ga., from 6:30-8 p.m., and it will serve to introduce the project team, discuss the projects, present concept alternatives, and gather community input about the types of improvements desired for each intersection.

During the November 2016 general election, voters approved the TSPLOST referendum. TSPLOST projects are taking place in the 14 Fulton County cities outside of Atlanta. TSPLOST is expected to yield approximately $570 million in transportation investments between 2017 and 2022. Funds collected through TSPLOST are divided among cities based on population, and each city within Fulton County is responsible for managing and implementing their approved project list.
